Homemade Barbecue Sauce
It is really hard to find a store-bought barbecue sauce that isn't full of chemicals and high-fructose corn syrup!

That's why making your own is so much better, and it's super easy!

This sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and tangy.  Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 Tablespoon oil
1 cup onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 Tablespoons vinegar
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions:

1.  Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook until soft and translucent.

2.  Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine.  Cover and simmer 10 minutes.

Makes 2 1/2 cups (Equivalent to a 20 oz. bottle)
