Make Cornbread On The Grill!

I don't like to run my oven in the summer...

But that doesn't have to stop me from baking!

A cast iron skillet makes it possible!

I used a 9-inch cast iron skillet.  I also used a pizza stone because I had to turn 3 of my 4 burners on to get the temperature to 400° and I was concerned about it cooking evenly.

Directions:

1.  Grease an 8 or 9 inch cast iron skillet.  Prepare Homemade Cornbread batter; pour into greased skillet.

2.  Heat grill to 400°, using indirect heat (this means don't put the skillet directly over the flame).

3.  Cook for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and a wooden pick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
