Fudgy One-Pan Brownies (Saucepan Brownies Recipe)
If you’re craving rich, chocolatey brownies without the hassle of multiple dishes, this Fudgy Saucepan Brownies recipe is for you! I actually found this gem years ago tucked inside a package of disposable aluminum cake pans — and it’s been my go-to brownie recipe ever since.
These brownies are perfectly dense, chewy, and full of deep chocolate flavor. The best part? You only need one saucepan to make them! Fewer dishes, more chocolate — that’s a win-win.
Ingredients
-
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
-
¾ cup unsweetened baking cocoa
-
2¼ cups sugar
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
3 eggs
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
1¼ cups all-purpose flour
-
½ teaspoon baking powder
-
1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat oven: Set oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
-
Melt butter: In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in cocoa until smooth. Let cool slightly.
-
Mix batter: Stir in sugar, salt, eggs, and vanilla until fully combined. Add flour and baking powder; mix until smooth.
-
Bake: Spread batter evenly in the pan and top with chocolate chips if desired.
-
Finish: Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the top is dry and edges begin to pull away from the pan. Cool completely before cutting.
Makes 24–32 brownies.
These one-pan fudgy brownies are the perfect easy dessert for any occasion — chewy, chocolatey, and absolutely irresistible!
