Pork Tenderloin and Fried Apples |
Pork Tenderloin and Fried Apples Recipe
If you love the classic comfort of pork chops and applesauce (cue Peter Brady), this Pork Tenderloin and Fried Apples recipe takes that nostalgic combo to the next level! Juicy, tender slices of pork tenderloin are pan-seared in butter, then simmered with sweet brown sugar and apples until perfectly caramelized. This simple one-pan meal delivers cozy fall flavors in every bite — and it’s ready in about 30 minutes.
Ingredients
-
1 lb. pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch thick pieces
-
¼ cup all-purpose flour
-
Dash of salt
-
Dash of black pepper
-
2 tablespoons butter
-
2 apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 8 slices each
-
¼ cup brown sugar
Directions
-
Prepare the pork:
In a shallow bowl, combine flour, salt, and pepper. Dredge each piece of pork tenderloin in the seasoned flour mixture. -
Sear the pork:
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork pieces and brown well on both sides. -
Add apples and simmer:
Reduce heat to low. Add the apple slices to the skillet and sprinkle with brown sugar. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes, until the pork is tender and the apples are soft and golden. -
Serve:
Spoon the caramelized apples and sauce over the pork and serve warm.
Servings: 4
Tips
-
Use firm apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith for the best texture.
-
Add a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra warmth and depth of flavor.
-
Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
